The Heart of the matter

We are so drawn to the physical, so drawn to the outward, that we often are misled with what we see and gaze upon. We can fool others and are fooled by others and we even fool ourselves with what we present to the world that sees us. However, God sees things differently:

“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”  1 Samuel 16:7 b

God knows the motives behind our actions. He knows everything. No use in pretending with God. We are to be transparent with our God.

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart— These, O God, You will not despise.” Psalm 15:17 NKJV

When we finally learn to humble our hearts before God, to lay ourselves bare before Him who created us, when we realize that we live by grace alone, then we will begin to walk in the power of His anointing and by the power of His Spirit.

Stay blessed in humbling your heart,
