Our Sacred Heart

How important is our heart (spirit man & soul)? Paul Tripp notes that what controls our heart, controls our behavior and everything else – our heart is connected to eveything in our life…

“Your actions, reactions, behavior, responses, words are more shaped by what’s inside of
you than what’s outside of you. We would like to think that’s not true, but it is. I think
the church of Jesus Christ has been powerfully affected by the determinism of our
culture, a culture that essentially says, “You are what your experience has made you.”

The Bible would say something very different. The Bible would say that what rules your
heart will control your behavior–that your behavior, your words, are organically connected
to the thoughts, attitudes, motives, and desires of your heart” Paul Tripp – David & Samuel

Colossians 3:15-16 King James Version (KJV)

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Stay blessed,
